Osborne in Dubai for discussions on economy, finance and politics

Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai  HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received here today afternoon at Za’beel Palace The British Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne, who conveyed to Sheikh Mohammed the regards of British Prime Minister David Cameron.

The two sides discussed a number of financial, economic and political issues in the context of bilateral relations between the UAE and the United Kingdom. They also tackled the latest developments in the region and the Middle East. Sheikh Mohammed stressed keenness of the UAE on the regional stability and safeguarding of the security, peace and welfare of people.

Present were Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Shaikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, State Minister for Financial Affairs, Reem Ibrahim Al Hashimi, State Minister, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shebani, Director General of Dubai Ruler’s Court, Major General Mohammed Dhaen Al Qamzi, senior officials, the UK Ambassador to UAE Dominic Jermey and Guy Warrington, British Consul General in Dubai.
